SUBSCRIPTIONS

  • Access to the email bulletins and website is by license authorising the user pursuant to the terms and conditions for the period of the subscription.
  • Your subscription will not be valid unless and until Urban Affairs accepts your registration. You will be notified by email when your subscription is accepted.
  • By clicking “I Accept” on the subscription page, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • You must ensure that your username and password remain secure and confidential.
  • You are entirely responsible for all use, activities and charges associated with or arising from any use of your username and password (regardless of whether you authorised such use), including unauthorised use of your or any other credit card. Each username and password must be used by a single user and is not transferable, unless a bulk-distribution arrangement has been reached between you and Urban Affairs. You must notify Urban Affairs immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username and password.
  • If you receive a free trial subscription (“Trial”), it will begin on the date on which Urban Affairs accepts your registration. During the Trial you will not be charged a subscription fee. You may cancel or opt-out of the Trial prior to the expiry period of the Trial by contacting us via the phone number 02 9272 5100 or email bulletins@urbanaffairs.com.au
  • If you have previously received a Trial, you will not be eligible to receive another Trial.

PAYMENT

If you opt for a paid subscription, all prices are inclusive of legally applicable GST. Paid subscribers have access to the full database of items stored on the Urban Affairs website and will receive the Urban Affairs bulletin twice-weekly. Urban Affairs reserves the right to change the bulletin delivery schedule or frequency.

The right to redistribute the Urban Affairs bulletin to multiple recipients may be negotiated with Urban Affairs.

Any individual using a credit card represents and warrants that he or she is authorised to use such credit card and that any and all charges may be billed to such credit card and will not be rejected.

None of the directors, officers, employees, agents contributors or associates of Urban Affairs accept any liability for electronic failures beyond our control, such as, but not limited to, computer viruses, loss of data, temporary loss or delays in transmission or unlawful interference by a third party.

We may immediately terminate your subscription if you (i) fail to pay the fee in accordance with these Terms and Conditions; (ii) breach clause 5 of these Terms and Conditions; or (iii) breach any other term or condition and fails to remedy the breach within 14 days after receiving written notice to do so.

REFUNDS

You may end your subscription at any time by contacting us using our contact information provided on our Contact page or via the "unsubscribe" link on the bulletin. If you decide to end your paid subscription, we will refund the balance of your subscription fee on a monthly pro rata basis effective from the month following the date of your cancellation request.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The intellectual property rights (including copyright) in all information including graphics, text and source code on the website and in the bulletin, but excluding the media releases, documents, websites and articles which are linked, are owned and/or controlled by Urban Affairs, its suppliers and/or licensors unless expressly indicated otherwise on the website. The content on the website is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws. Unless it is expressly authorised by Urban Affairs in writing you must not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload to a third party, post, transmit or distribute any web site content except as expressly provided for on the website and authorised by us. You must not use the website in any manner or for any purpose which is unlawful. Nothing contained on the website grants any license or right of use of any trademark displayed on the Site without the express written permission of Urban Affairs.

BULK SUBSCRIPTIONS

If you have made an arrangement with Urban Affairs to forward the Urban Affairs Bulletin to more than 10 recipients (for example within your organisation):

  • You may only forward it to no more than the number of recipients agreed to
  • You may not re-brand or alter the bulletin in any other way
  • Maintenance of the email list of authorised recipients who are entitled to receive the forwarded bulletin rests entirely with you.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect and hold the following information concerning you which you authorise us to use upon subscribing to the website and the Urban Affairs publication, such as your name, business email address, organisation name and phone number.

You agree to provide us with accurate and complete registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, to the extent permitted by applicable law you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to that information.

HOW WE COLLECT THE INFORMATION

We may collect personal information directly from you via the Urban Affairs website, through direct email communication, from business cards and other contact details provided directly to us.
