If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Urban Affairs' relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.

The term "Urban Affairs", "us" and "we" refer to the owner of the website, Elton Consulting Group, a WSP Company, whose registered office is Level 27, 680 George Street Sydney NSW 2000. Our ABN is 56 003 853 101. The term "you" refers to the user or viewer of our website. The term "the website" and "this website" refers to urbanaffairs.com.au.

The use of this website is expressly subject to the following terms and conditions of use:

  • The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
  • Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

  • Access to the email bulletins and website is by license authorising the user pursuant to the terms and conditions for the period of the subscription.
  • Your subscription will not be valid unless and until Urban Affairs accepts your registration. You will be notified by email when your subscription is accepted.
  • You must ensure that your username and password remain secure and confidential. You are entirely responsible for all use, activities and charges associated with or arising from any use of your username and password (regardless of whether you authorised such use), including unauthorised use of your or any other credit card. Each username and password must be used by a single user and is not transferable, unless a bulk-distribution arrangement has been reached between you and Urban Affairs. You must notify Urban Affairs immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username and password.
  • If you receive a free trial subscription, it will begin on the date on which Urban Affairs accepts your registration. During the Trial you will not be charged a subscription fee. You may cancel or opt-out of the Trial prior to the expiry of the Trial online by contacting us via the Contact page or email bulletins@urbanaffairs.com.au.
  • However, if you do not cancel or opt out during the Trial, continuation of your subscription following a trial will be subject to establishment of your subscription by application not later than a specified period prior to the expiry of the current trial period.
  • If you have previously received a Trial, you will not be eligible to receive another Trial.


Paid subscribers to Urban Affairs have access to the full database of items stored on the Urban Affairs website and will receive the Urban Affairs bulletin twice-weekly. Urban Affairs reserves the right to change the bulletin delivery schedule or frequency.

Paid subscriptions are provided in 6-month and 12-month terms only. The right to redistribute the Urban Affairs bulletin to multiple recipients may be negotiated with Urban Affairs.

Any individual using a credit card represents and warrants that he or she is authorised to use such credit card and that any and all charges may be billed to such credit card and will not be rejected.

None of the directors, officers, employees, agents contributors or associates of Urban Affairs accept any liability for electronic failures beyond our control, such as computer viruses, loss of data, temporary loss or delays in transmission or unlawful interference by a third party.


You may end your paid subscription at any time by contacting us using our contact information provided on our “Contact us” page or via the “unsubscribe” link on the bulletin. If you decide to end your paid subscription, we will refund the balance of your subscription fee on a monthly pro rata basis effective the month following the date of your cancellation request.

Intellectual property

The intellectual property rights (including copyright) in all information including graphics, text and source code on the website and in the Bulletin, but excluding the media releases, websites and articles which are linked, are owned and/or controlled by Urban Affairs, its suppliers and/or licensors unless expressly indicated otherwise on the website. The content on the website is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws. Unless it is expressly authorised by Urban Affairs in writing you must not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload to a third party, post, transmit or distribute any web site content except as expressly provided for on the website and authorised by us. You must not use the website in any manner or for any purpose which is unlawful. Nothing contained on the website grants any license or right of use of any trademark displayed on the Site without the express written permission of Urban Affairs.

We are entitled to monitor access to our website and associated email, from which we can then determine whether the email is being regularly opened by users other than those who are authorised. In this case we reserve the right to convert the subscription so as to capture the actual number of people regularly accessing and reading the bulletin from that source.

Bulk subscriptions

If you have made an arrangement with Urban Affairs to forward the Urban Affairs Bulletin to more than 10 recipients (for example within your organisation, or to your membership):

  • You may only forward it to no more than the number of recipients agreed to
  • You may not re-brand or alter the bulletin in any other way
  • Maintenance of the email list of authorised recipients who are entitled to receive the forwarded bulletin rests entirely with you.
